How do I block apps?
SquatLock uses Apple's official Screen Time / Family Controls system. You
choose which apps or categories to block from within SquatLock.
Why does SquatLock need Screen Time permission?
It's the only Apple-sanctioned way to block apps. SquatLock never sees
which specific apps you picked; the tokens are opaque and stay on your
device.
How does rep counting work?
SquatLock uses Apple's on-device Vision framework to count squats, jumping
jacks, forward lunges, and push-ups through the front camera. No video or
pose data ever leaves your phone.
Do minutes expire?
No. Minutes you earn stay in your balance until you spend them.
What's the daily grant?
A one-tap unlock of all your blocked apps for a fixed window, once per
day, that resets at midnight. It's meant for emergencies, not as a
workaround.
Does it work without internet?
Yes. Rep counting, blocking, and metering all run on-device. Internet is
only needed for iCloud sync and subscription checks.
How do subscriptions and refunds work?
Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID. To cancel, open the App
Store, tap your profile, then Subscriptions. Refund requests must be made
directly to Apple at
reportaproblem.apple.com.
